*Minimum computer specification requirements​

  • Your computer must be a Windows/Microsoft PC or Laptop.  Unfortunately, this course cannot be completed using a tablet, Chromebook, or Apple MacBook.

  • CPU: Intel i3 or better: AMD equivalent acceptable

  • RAM:8GB or more

  • HDD: 100GB or more

  • OS: Windows 10 or newer (Aspire2 can provide a product key for Win 11 Edu)

  • You must be able to install applications and configure software and operating system settings on your device (i.e you must have a local administrator account).

This 18 week programme consists of 4 papers each worth 15 credits:

• Databases & Spreadsheets
• Web Fundamentals
• Digital Media Production

Outcome

Graduates will gain essential computing and digital skills to support them in entry-level roles requiring digital literacy. This programme also provides a strong foundation for further IT study, including the NZ Certificate in IT Essentials (Level 4)

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years of age or over and will be eligible on the basis of meeting the requirements below

• Open entry (no prior qualifications required)
• Must be a domestic learner (NZ Citizen or Permanent resident)

English Language Requirements

All applicants must demonstrate an acceptable level of English language proficiency prior to being accepted into the programme.
